There are two different ways to join InterLAN. As partner, by signing a contract and by attaining a physical connection to one of the InterLAN hubs; As member, by respecting a sum of cummulative conditions and by attaining a physical connection to one of the InterLAN-IX hubs. In both cases, the member or partner should have a unique AS-NUMBER announced directly to the InterLAN-IX Route-Server.

Yes. Both members and partners can open private BGP sessions with any other participant to InterLAN-IX. As partner, if the traffic exchange company's policy is opened, you can open a BGP4+ session with the InterLAN-IX's Route Server. You are also free to set session communities if you wish to avoid announcing your prefixes to a member or partner. For the members, the BGP4+ session with the InterLAN-IX route server is mandatory. The members are also forbidden to apply filtering communities.

Yes. As member, you should submit to the Board of Directors your intention, in writing. As partner, you have to submit to the Board of Directors an unilateral termination of the Interconnection Agreement.
The waiver of the member/partner status, by unilateral termination of the Interconnection Agreement, does not imply any penalties or debts, as long as, at the time of such termination, your obligations towards InterLAN are up to date.

Membership is permitted only to incorporated companies with a gross income of under 50,000 USD/month, having their own AS-NUMBER and which are authorized to activate in the telecommunications field. More details can be found here. Once these requests are validated, the membership procedure can start.
The candidate should express his intention by submitting a Membership Request. Along with this request, the candidate will also submit to the Board of Directors the following documents: 1. Descriptive sheet 2. Legal Certificate from the Chamber of Commerce. The certificate should be still valid once submitted (15 days) 3. Copy of the certificate issued by a telecom munications regulation authority (in Romania ANCOM) 4. Copy of the identity document of the company's administrator 5. Signature specimen Once the file is complete, the Board of Directors, along with the relation officer named by the company, will establish a date for the interview. The interview is a free discussion aimed to a better knowledge of the potential candidate and its plans concerning the plus this one will get to InterLAN.
Following the interview, the Board of Directors will decide if the candidate fulfills the minimum conditions to be awarded an InterLAN full-membership.
The Board of Directors, using its means, will submit the details of the potential member to all the actual members of the Association. For a period of 30 days, the members can object with arguments against the candidate.
During this time, InterLAN representatives will initiate a survey of the working points of the candidate and will also initiate telephonic conversations with some of the candidate clients', in order to assess their opinion about the candidate, the quality of the services, the delay required to solve technical problems. The contract with the clients will also be discussed and suggestions will be made concerning the transparency and the honesty of the contractual clauses.
After this 30-days delay, the candidate will be informed about the initiation of the membership or of the partnership, if the membership assessment failed.
If accepted as member, the candidate will synchronize the new adhesion wave with a new Legal Certificate from the Chamber of Commerce, still valid at the time of submission to the Bucharest Court. After about 12 days, the candidate will become a legal InterLAN Member. Once this status is acquired, the candidate will start to pay his monthly fee and will also be able to exchange traffic.

In order to sign an Interconnection Agreement with InterLAN, the candidate has to:
a. Be authorized in the telecommunications field
b. Have as core-business telecommunications/IT
c. Respect the InterLAN Technical Regulations.
